Edmodo—learning management system

Last week I launched Edmodo with my home room and my science/social studies classes. I have to say that I really like it. Some of my students are using it to ask and answer questions, share ideas and websites, take quizzes and answer polls. They are building an online community.
Just today I added RSS feeds so we get Tiny Words (haiku), word of the day, and National Geographic Kids.
The tech teacher and the librarian have joined my class group. I reminded parents to sign up for their accounts at conferences this week.
If you haven’t seen it or heard about it, I encourage you to check it out. It is free, safe from outsiders and ads, and intended for kids. There are lots of cool things I can post to it.
You can connect it to Google docs. Below is something I want to try out.
